Beauty - The Real Picture - Holiday Workshop BRISBANE

Our girls are growing up in a world that places unrealistic beauty expectations on them daily, give her the tools she needs to challenge these ideas! Come and join us for one of our most loved workshops! This workshop has been running for almost 10 years and gets delivered to hundreds of girls' each year, receiving huge feedback and praise for the positive impact it makes. 

The fun, full day, feel good workshop educates girls about the concepts of self-esteem and body image and helps them to identify how they currently feel about themselves and their appearance. It addresses how and why young girls develop certain views of themselves. We look at how their changing body shape during puberty may affect how they see themselves, and we explore the big impact society and the media (including social media) has on shaping our views on our bodies/appearance. The program explores the reasons behind our own individual physical characteristics, body shape and size, celebrates diversity and encourages the girls to accept their physical appearance. Most importantly, the program builds self-esteem through identifying each girls own individual and unique set of skills and qualities. The participants are empowered to accept and love themselves, just the way they are.

Girls will participate in fun discussions and activities, complete and take home a informative and vibrant workbook, engage in a fun and meaningful craft activity all about them, and come home with a number of positive affirmations all about themselves.

The program is delivered in a fun and engaging way using a variety of activities, teamed with the use of multimedia and interactive discussion.

More Information:

Participants are asked to bring a morning tea, lunch and a water bottle. 

Parents/caregivers will be required to sign their child in and out of the event.
