Tween Talk: Don't Just Dream it, Do it!

Dreams and goal setting are important factors in helping us pave a path to success. Successful goal setting is a learned skill, and one that can be extremely beneficial to learn during our pre-adolescent years. This skill not only helps our pre-teens learn how to achieve their current goals, it is a great asset to have going into high school, where planning for the future is important and encouraged.

This workshop will cover not only the importance of dreams and goals but also the practical element of how to turn dreams into achievable and attainable goals. We will discuss and identify with your tween her specific dreams and goals in all facets of her life. From personal goals like gaining confidence, to friendship goals, or goals in her family relationships, to goals around starting her new school year and school work, to goals she would like to achieve outside of the school setting. Whatever her goals may be, we work with her to identify these. She will be taught a specific goal setting technique so she can turn these dreams and goals into her reality! The girls will also be taught how to continue to reevaluate their goals to make sure they stay on track.

More Information:

Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and morning tea. There is a cafe on site, but girls will not be permitted to leave the program area as they will not be supervised.

Parents/caregivers will be required to sign their child in and out of the event.
